Cottonwood
Just under 2 hours north, Cottonwood offers small-town energy with big flavor. Walk Old Town, check out the wineries, and enjoy a slower pace without the Sedona crowds. One of our go-tos for an easy, cozy escape.
Sedona
Yes, it’s well known — but it’s popular for a reason. The red rock views are incredible, and if you time it right (early hikes, weekday stays), it feels like your own little oasis. Great for couples who want nature and spirituality.
Prescott
This historic mountain town brings cooler weather, antique shops, and walkable downtown fun. It’s also got one of the best courthouse squares around for just sitting and people-watching with a cup of local coffee.
Staycation in Phoenix
Not every weekend has to involve driving. Sometimes we grab a deal at a Phoenix resort (Biltmore is a favorite), hike Piestewa Peak at sunrise, hit brunch at a local gem, and call it a staycation win.
